Anyone seen any advantages of CoD over the original IL2 (in leaning to one side and looking to the rear)? Be nice to see a video of this feature.

Yes, however my personal choice would be rather than the camera moving to the left/right or back/forwards then staying there when the RMB is released I would prefer as you release the RMB that the camera would spring back to the normal central position wile looking in the same direction.

But on the other hand if you look downward (mouse look) 90deg then hold the RMB down then move the mouse backwards is razes the POV similar to razing the seat which can make landings & taxiing easer and you only have to press “keypad /” to reset the view.

thanks b101uk. So leaning, as in looking to the right (or left) when taxiing, or checking six (as with the cockpit closed) is better?

yes and no, it depends on the plane, e.g. with the hurricane looking backwards when to one side you only see a little more, and for taxiing etc in the hurricane etc your better off to raze the view.

if you try it you will soon find out.
