DO you really want to lower your fps by another 30-40%??

Look oldschool - you're clearly a retard, so taking your word for the performance hit of a graphical feature, especially one so unspecific as "30-40%" with no reference to any other setting, spec or variable, would be remedial. It's also not what the question was, so again you score highly in reading comprehension.

As far as I am aware AA is supported in the DX10 settings, and XP supports DX9 only

Is not, look around a bit in this forum and you find more then enough info about non-working AA. This is one of them (http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=19876)
@ Oldschool: You don't always loose 30%-40% when using AA, it depends on your hardware and on the program (take FSX as an example). Since AA isn't working, how would you know what to loose on performance?

most are seeing a AA performance hit at about 10 -15 frames (quoted %) even with highend hardware

Yep, but without visual diference.AA is not working and is really like a time travel to the wolfestein 1 era.

Wrong, I do see the difference between no AA and 2x AA (no difference above though).
