Thought I'd post this link as a diversion from the usual amount of rage/love on this board atm.

Interesting stuff indeed but the image in the article reminds more of a Bf-110 than a Dornier-17:).

Could be, but as soon as I took a closer look at the engine-nacelles, it's pretty clear that it IS a Do-17. Plus that the recess in the fuselage looks more like a bomb-bay than a cockpit.
Damn nice find, regardless.
You fellows need to work on your aircraft recognition skills!

It will be an interesting exhibit if they can find the money to raise/preserve and show it.
