if you have one of the following boards there is a good chane that a bios upgrade will alllow you to drop a new bulldozer chip in :):):):):)

Default AM3+ CPU ready motherboards support list
ASUS, ASRock and Gigabyte announced that some of new revised AM3 motherboards with current chipsets will support AM3+ Bulldozer CPUs through future BIOS updates. Unfortunately with current chipsets mean that some features like Bulldozer power management and VCore will be disabled, you will need to wait for new AMD 900 series chipset to unlock all features.

If the motherboard you bought recently come with a black socket AM3b with 1 extra pin then you will know this mean AM3+.

Thats good news. Unfortunately for me I'm still on my asus am2+ board. So I'll have to build a new machine at some point.

I'm secretly hoping my mobo dies when the new boards come out, give me an excuse to build a new machine hehe.
