I was just wondering whats the lowest GPU anyone has managed to get the game to run on (doesnt matter about FPS). I think the lowest ive read about on the forums is a 8800 gts.

And i know about the supported GPUs but in the past you ccould still sometimes play games on a GPU thats not supported.

8800GTS here, runs, unplayable.

Ordered a new HD 5870 1Gb (all I could afford) and hoping that the game will be playable.

I'm attempting to run it on a 1GB GT330M in a Toshiba Laptop, connected to a 22" monitor.

The processor is 2.67Ghz with 4 GB RAM.

The fps is pretty shocking at the moment, but I am hoping once all the 'stutters' and everything else that needs to be fixed has been sorted, I might get a better idea of whether or not I am wasting my time.

Nvidia 8600GT (not officially supported) on Win7 Ultimate with driver 257.21 here.
Game launches, I can configure the Options but I can't see the plane or the pilot on their configuration screens. And of course the game does not work at all when try to fly. :( , even at the lowest resolution and the lowest settings. So this is the bottom :)

I flew perfectlly with IL-2 1946.

So, I am going to the Hardware shop this afternoon to see what I can I find and afford

EDIT:
FIXED not viewing the pilot and plane screens, just by changing a line in CONF.INI file, as stated in:

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=20211

I had the same symptoms and now at least I can launch the Training mission. But I only have 1 FPS, even a LOW settings, so....: New card.

I have a 7950 GX2 - it's a 1gb card. Surely it should work in CoD! I know it's a little bit old, but come on!

8800GTS 512mb here: damage decals, visual effects and model detail high, rest low/very low.

FPS against 8 bombers over sea avg 33 from cockpit, 50+ outside view.

Over land, mostly unplayable.

GTX260 and 2gb DDR2 here. Disabled clouds, which were costing a whopping 25fps then fiddled with the config so I was running in windowed mode 1152x720. Now getting 35-60fps over water with high shading, models and effects. Also with 4x Antialiasing. Over land its still about 20-ish. It will do well enough for now until the devs get performance up to an acceptable level, then I'll look at some new hardware.

ATI Mobility Radeon 5650M 1gb (DDR3). Works here! Bit stuttery though...... 16-20fps over land. Much better over water....

You would think that wouldnt you but i havent seen anyone get any of the GeForce 7 series working. Even then they high end 7 series cards are way better than the 8600 and that card can at least start the game.

Yeah. Perhaps it's got something to do with DirectX 10/11 compatibility? Still, I think Oleg & the boys might have dropped the ball a little bit on this one... :(
