Hi, I'll make this short:

1.What can I do that the view centers itself after I stop looking around with the POV-hat on my joystick? I thought that [F9] was there to toggle this function, but after pressing [F9] I simply can not look around anymore (exept with the num-Keys, which is highly unpractical during aerial combat:rolleyes:).

2. How can I use the belting of my guns? I save it but later the saved configuration simply disappears and is never to be found again:-|...

3. Why are tracers only yellow and white? I thought there where more colours depending on country and weapon?

4. How can I start up that damn Hurricane in the "tutorial" mission:confused:

5. Is it only my system or do small caliber guns not leave visible holes on enemy planes anymore? (detail setting: High)

[whining on]
The performance is terrible, I have 2 ugly black lines in my field of view, tracers look to "fat", why is my PC to slow *wuuuhuhuhuuuuu*, my 110s engines always loose power after 2 minutes of flight...engine sounds are horrible![/whining off]

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I think the ammo configurations not being saved is a bug. I have the exact same problem. It's really annoying because convergeance is in the same place and I really hate the default setting. Also, why is this in the options menu instead of on the plane select screen? When it eventually does work, it's going to be annoying to have to constantly go back into options to try out different configurations. Ok done whining. Back to flying.

Do you fly on full realism? If so engines are goint to give up after 2 minutes full thrust with no proper enigne controll (temp/oiltemp and so on ...)

If you dont want this try deactivating advanced engine management

Ok, thanks for your answers. I should add that the rants in the "whine-tags" are not to be taken seriously.

However, the first point I raised still prevents me from enjoying the game. When I leave the coolie hat alone my pilot should autocenter his view. I loose track of any fast moving target the way it is now. What can I do?

I had the same problem with my POV on my Saitek Cyborg when playing 1946. At first the POV would net autocentre and i had to manually push the POV-hat. Got used to it after a while...

Re-installed drivers and it went back to normal...only problem is i preferred it when it went wrong and don't like it now it keeps autocentres ...anyone know how to change it back?

F9 toggles 2 different viewing systems. You should map hat positions for the second system in control settings probably (there are 2 different sections there).

I think a key to centre view can be also mapped there.

I've mapped "forward view" to one button. So when I need to look forward I just press it.
