I dont really know what to say. I have been told that Flight sim forums is filled with negativity, I have not been let down on that end.
But that the negativity should come from the majority of people who do not even own the game yet or atleast have not tried it proper.
I am not from russia or anywhere where I would understand menu language, but have managed to get it set to fly. (I have pre.ordered and additionally bought the russian version)
I hear things like "this will be the end of IL2 if this and that does not happen"
"I am not buying unless this and that gets fixed before EU and US release"
Seriously? If the game is not as good as IL2 1946 was at its peak then you will not get this one? Well, then you probably should not in my opinion.
Games like this has ALWAYS been a bit slow out the box, and what happens when people develope more and postpone the release? "I will not buy this unless it is released NOW!!!"
Come on people, have some faith. You all know it will be better, you all know community will develope tons of things for it in the future, you all know it will be good. If you dont, then you are new to these games, if so, pay attention to the old game and see the history evolve.
This is not a console game, this is not made for arcadic flight. Making things proper then takes time. Look at DCS and their BlackShark and now A-10C. It has been in beta for ages, they sold it so people could download beta and help. It is still not proper after release, but they fix things as they go along.
I know people will always want what is perfact at start, but it will not happen these days, we all know it.
Let us just support the few, the VERY small amount of people who still bothers to develope these sims for our small community of combat sim fighters.
I am not "old" in this forum, so I really cannot say to much, but I will go on the limb and state... If you have nothing but negativity to write, please do not write it until you have thought of a constructive way to bring your message forward.
Cheers. Cato... Now shoot me down, I know some of you who read this would feel targeted.

*Claps*
Unfortunately, it probably doesn't change the fact the game will be pretty much unplayable 'out of the box' bcus of the this epilepsy filter and unoptimized code. I don't think 1c intended to publish this early and Ubi was fed up, told them get it out. Its kinda obvious. I have faith its future proofed and will be spectacular eventually. But for right now, nope.

If you walked into a restaurant and 20+ people told you the fish was off, would you take a mouthfull?

You would also have no reasonable expectation that the soured fish could be unsoured.......Your analogy is "off" and I am tired of taking mouthfuls of your self importance.

You're wasting your time Cato, there are a minority that will say the game is porked no matter how perfect or good it is. :-P
Thats how they get their entertainment, If the game was the most perfect game ever launched and it came free with a buxom blonde Playboy Bunny, they would still complain about it :rolleyes::rolleyes:
Oleg got us this far (despite my doubts), he's not going to let a poxy filter nor some minor optimisation get in the way now. :-)

I just did. with the russian version and the pre-ordered western one.
So.......
I am not here to claim the game is perfact, I know it is not, but it is not doomsday and it will not ruin peoples life. Just dont go ramming into big words about this and that. That is all I want to say really. It is not perfect, but deserves some respect for the aim of trying to make it so.

Aye, I know. I just needed to say something. Guess it is like speaking to the big porcelain god, after a good night at the pubs. A lot comes out but it does nothing good where it hits :)

LOL, I can assure you, the minority will turn into a majority when the western version is released. Do you even have the Russian version?

Ah well. so be it then. It might happen, I will still be here, i will still fly.
Name another game other than IL2:1946 and Cliffs of Dover that will suit this genre. WW2 combat flight sim. It is nothing even close to it...
I am just hoping that in time, this will be as good as it has potential to be....
Cause already it is pretyy damn.... pretty... and feels very good to fly...

I spend A LOT of time reading people of Maddox Games and TD talking about "rigid standards"...
Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll... Standards about WHAT?!?!?!
What I can clearly see untill now is something very close of the ANCIENT original IL-2 graphic engine, heavy as hell, with a REAL trouble rendering large towns, stuttering in the SAME WAY OLD IL-2 DOES, etc.
Remember the crap talking about mods?
"Ohhhh... this effect mod don't run well! It's not fulfill the rigid standards!"
Now we see all the reviews and videos of this beta stage sim? With this demanding graphic engine with litte things better than IL-2 1946?
Gimme a break, please! I'm tired of be a fanboy. CoD is a big deception until now. Let's face the true!

Well put CatoIf you walked into a restaurant and 20+ people told you the fish was off, would you take a mouthfull?Honestly, why did it have to be you to be the first to talk such trite? I don't know where to start with your daft analogy, it's ridiculous.
Most of the people complaining about the game either
a) haven't got a copy at all
b) haven't got a copy in their own language (which makes setting it up a little tricky)
c) if they do have a copy in their language, haven't got a decent PC to run their copy
d) haven't got the latest patch for the game
There are some that have shown decent performance from the game. It appears there has been an annoying mistake with the development, but it should be fixed.
You have clearly decided this game is not for you until it has had a lot more development - 2013 I think you said. So why don't you go away and do something else until 2012 and then come back and see how we're all getting on. You're daft comments are tiresome.

I want to play online...but oh yeah not only is that not possible they turned it into an arcade island battle. I'm not sure this is what any of us had in mind when we thought of multiplayer in CoD.
Now the silly ringed island should be the least of my concerns. I'm tending to believe the people that say this is the next falcon 4.0 more than the "It's gonna be just fine" crowd. If 2-3 years down the road Oleg and team prove me wrong then it will be good for all of us!

After all we were blamed for conspiracy theories...
What official information we have regarding the very poor state of CoD?
CoD is not for free, we will pay for that. However, it seems the game is in gama stage. Who tested the game?? This incredible poor performance was not detected? This is not a conspiracy theory, it's a valid question.
It's so difficult to post some kind of information?? Yes, the game has problems and we are working on it.... but not a word.

Didn't find it. Sorry then.
But how hard would be a sticky message from him, to stop the panic?
PS. The only thing I have found were some translated messages from russian forums.

No probs, your loss see you later, you obviously only read the negative posts and apart from Trees rants there is no evidence at all that this is not a new engine

I didn't said it's not a "new" engine, just said that a lot of the OLD engine issues remains.

Remember, profanity and personal attacks will get you banned.

I read perfectly well thanks, and it appears you don't have English as your first language(nothing wrong with that) so I may have misunderstood your comments, but the following certainly implies that you have doubts about the newness of this engine
"What I can clearly see untill now is something very close of the ANCIENT original IL-2 graphic engine, heavy as hell, with a REAL trouble rendering large towns, stuttering in the SAME WAY OLD IL-2 DOES, etc."
I'm actually a fanboy of all flight sims, and I'm glad you are not going anywhere as that will be one more purchase, but one thing, how about you make comments based on some facts, that will get this sim fixed up a lot quicker than ranting about old engines etc IMO.

My initial reaction to Tree's 'Fish' question was that if he was one of the people saying it was off, I'd buy the fish for sure. I now realise I was wrong - I should buy shares in the restaurant instead. :-P
P.S. Tree, if you ever get to fly online in CloD, I'd use another name. I doubt you'll survive for long when people figure out who you are... ;)

Those that rant, whine and complain about issues with the bob COD should post their system specs when they post.
Most complaints are probably from people with lower quality spec systems, and they are just venting.

I will eat this fish because I love fish, got a gigantic bass in this same lagoon sometime ago, in 2002, and I don't find any other fish to eat! I really like the WWII MP air combat bass!
Understand that, please. If people lost time here, posting, this means something... I'll use this bass in a dish for +50 people, all eating at the same time. If it isn't smooth, it's useless to me... I'm not a "single eater" person like a lot here.

Well, IF I can, by any luck, make people discuss fish instead of getting all tits up and monkeyheaded about things not yet tried or know. Then I am happy...
I like trout by the way. Love how you catch them yourself in narrow streams with a fishing net and then make some charcoal of it afterwards when trying to be a wilderness chef :)
