The future of the project The Battle of Britain
Dear friends,
Thank you for your support. Please accept my personal apologies for the problems when you start the game. We worked in full all hands on deck for a long time, last month was even more hectic, and we had a little to the final cleaning of the product.
This is what the team will work in the coming days:
1. Anti-epilepsy will once and forever banished from the Russian version of the game. This adds up to 10 fps on older machines. You now can manually disable the filter - the instructions were given repeatedly.
2. We have already discovered the cause of micro-Friesians at low altitudes. Repairs should take a small enough amount of time.
3. We continue to optimize the game. Our chief programmer - the optimizer is sick the third day, but it does have a concrete plan of work, which again is in a fairly short period of time will improve the framerate. Wonders of course we do not promise, but the flight over the landscape will be dramatically different than the flights have to water.
4. Texts are checked korerktorom. Kreditsy already cleaned out.
5. The remaining issue for us at least a high priority. We hope to release a patch that improves the frame rate and the ruling texts next week (it will automatically take stim) and then in a free mode to address other issues, to improve the game, adding planes and m e.

I saw this but I didn't feel to say anything as people would just tell me to stop complaining. I hope to god we can use there patch unofficially and it has no language settings.

Maybe if we calm down a little and show a little patience...

I will buy the russian version and learn russian. Much cheaper and more fun than spending much more on upgrading my rig due to the ubisoft stupidity.

Couldn't bare myself to grab the Russian version just because its cheap, would make me feel like a douche instead of supporting them.

Unfortunetly he didnt seem to address any specific fixes / issues (other then fps which can be caused by many factors). I wish they would bother to post here in english, there needs to be dialogue.

Don't Oleg & Co probably gets the same amount from a sale of a Russian copy than a US copy sold to us at 4x the Russian retail price.

Yes, I really hope that they postpone the western release until they have fixed the major problems. The Russians are already public beta testers so let it stay that way for a couple of months. Releasing it now to the west will just put them in an even worse situation. And yes, in no way they are going to be able to fix all the problems that people talk about in a week or two?

Buy both... I am. I have the steam version on pre-order but am also getting the Russian version as backup in case:
1. Ubi somehow puts a stop to those in their regions buying the Russian version (relatively likely, I think), and;
2. The Western version never gets properly fixed and we have to resort to using the Russian one for the years to come.
Not likely, I know, but it isn't expensive anyway...

Let's see what happens in a few days when it is released in Europe and Australia. I would prefer some dev communication on this forum but to be fair it hasn't been released for us yet.
It will be interesting to see how the dev team make the transition in public engagement from the highly secretive pre-release phase (i.e. to date) to a proper dialogue. This, as much as anything, will contribute to make or break for CoD as purchasers will undoubtedly want some information on the game they just bought.
