Even if that's true and you had the game right now in your possession you won't be able to play it till Steam releases it.

Whatever date the Steam store shows for your area is when the game will be "activated".

Ubisoft doesn't want it releasing alongside Crysis 2, and (more for their benefit) Assassins' Crud Botherhud.

Go Gamer has it for a lot less and an April 19th date.

Amazon also has it for less than Ebay .April 26th date.

It is being released in Europe on the 31st.Maybe Ebay is importing it.

Be careful. The game is region locked and will not activate outside of its region.

Regarding the region, the e-bay listing comes from here... http://allbazaar.com/Popular-Auctions/Toys-Hobbies/IL-2-Sturmovik-Cliffs-of-Dover-PC-New-ZZi-280643891108.aspx

All video games are NTSC-US/CA and are guaranteed to work in the US, Canada, North America, most of South America (except Brazil,Argentina, Uruguay and French Guiana), Burma, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, and some Pacific island nations and territories. If your system is outiside of these regions please check your system for compatibility before purchasing. We are not responsible if you buy a game that doesn't work on your system if it is not from the above regions and do not offer refunds for games for region coding errors outside of the above regions.

The fcitech is a company in New York , they claim to have the DVD in stock and ready to ship, would think / hope they would be selling only the NTSC-US/CA versions if I understand correctly. Anyhew, I have read some post of people saying they could not find the DVD in the States only the download version, so wanted to point out that it looks like the DVD version is starting to trickle into the States. gogamer, amazon and the like should have it in stock very soon is my guess.

Unfortunately, that's what I thought I would hear, but was hoping it didn't apply to DVD version. Is going to be painful to unwrap the DVD only to just look at it.

If that's true, that sucks.

It's a Steamworks game, all CD-Keys get activated through Steam so they control the release of the retail version and all digital copies of the game 100%

When they are talking about compatibility I think they are talking about the video format.NTSC versus PAL.
"All video games are NTSC-US/CA "

Ebay shipping 2 days before it is available in Europe makes it suspect in my mind.(actually March 29th to April 11th.)

Personally I would get it from Go Gamer for less and only a few days late.(April 16th vs April 11th.Although it could be March 29th)

You pay your money and take your chances.

So why is Ebay charging 30 more dollars for a game that's released April 19th?

It's not "Ebay" Per say it's "technookstore" selling on Ebay. And there betting theres people that can't wait for it and will pay more to have it in there hands now even if they can't actually play it. It is also a possiblity it's a scam but I doubt it with a 98.5% Positive feedback rating.
