suggestion "operation night witchtes"

just a suggestion for an other historic mission "operation night witches"

mode : simulator

time : in march

mission : strike

time : night

weather : good

map : stalingrad

year : 1943

ammo : limited

fuel : unlimited

map : no map to be used exept for forming up and scrambling in the start of the mission

hud : disabled

each pilot has only one life
if shot down or crash ,i think it is better to quite the game exept the host

number of pilots : between 10 to 16

german forces : protect a bomber who is on the ground and protect the aa guns
bomber(only one) : we think about a b17 (even if it is not a german bomber but big and easier to see during the night,on the ground)and this b17 will be only under the control of McQ59 who have 2 ps3s and 2 il2 disks
fightercover : me109 f4 ,fw190 a5, fw190 f8 , me110 c
scramble : respawn


russian forces : search and destroy the bomber who is on the ground and the ennemy aa guns
planes : night light bomber po-2
scramble : respawn but wait mcq59 say his big bomber is on the ground on the chat room,turn around in the respawn until the mcq59's bomber is on the ground,and after start the"ground search and destroy",it is very important,engage the bomber in the sky is forbidden

approximat time of mission : 45 min

if the po-2s find and destroy the bomber and the ennemies aa guns they win,if all the po-2s are destroyed or can't find and destroy the bomber and the ennemies aa guns after 45 min of game they loose


what do u think guys?maybe too difficult?

Hi Olife,

Great idea!

How about saying instead of destroy the bomber, the mission is to destroy the German Anti Aircraft Gunners (once the bomber is on the ground its AI will act exactly like that!) which were earlier on discovered by a high altitude reconnaissance aircraft. For this we make a screenshot of the map and mark it with the position where the AAG was discovered.

It is important that this position is on a landmark that can be found in the darkness without using the in-game map. As a suggestion, the B-17 could land on the island in the Volga river, but there may be other places that offer a good landing site and landmark too.

All pilots who go on this mission (of both sides) could print out the reconnaissance map to help them with navigating during the mission...

yes i know it is difficult with no hud,but it is fun ,for the air speed,when u respawn your engine power is at 55% if u touch nothing ,after u can speed up or down,stop the pressure of your finger on your speed buttom and automatically your engine power will return at 55%.

I'm on for friday night and the lazy sunday evening man. A recon around Stalingrad would be a blast. I like that map. Never did it at night.
