Hello all,

We're having the finals of the Ace of Aces Mustang Trophy Tournament
on Sunday and it would be great to have a video.

The idea would be that someone who has the game, a PS3 and a videocapture
device flies a bomber, first empties his ammunition (to prevent the autogunner
from shooting) and then circles the action from a safe distance while recording.

We would then edit the raw footage and make a video of the Finals. It would be
truly great if someone could do this.

Volunteers, step forward!

:)

PS: For those who haven't seen this, here's a link to watch or download the
wartime documentary 'Memphis Belle: The Story of A Flying Fortress':

I'll try and be there if no one else is available, although I can only record via sub-HD DVR. Hopefully someone who can capture in HD can do it.

Hi Tagem,

thanks very much for your offer. Of course HD would be great, but you have experience in taking footage and know how to fly...so I wouldn't mind at all if you would do this unless a great HD equipped director pilot comes along...Can't say as yet the exact time on Sunday but if Edal is in it might be a bit early in the day since he's in San Diego and has to work later.

Would you mind doing a dry run soon to see how the filming goes, how close you got to be and if it's a distraction to players?

I can pretty much arrange to do this anytime you can. Please let me know.

:)

P.S.: Of course you're also very much invited to take part in the Superbrawl for the rest of the day!

I can do a dry-run on Friday evening. I have a router issue I have to sort out but it shouldn't be a problem.

If it doesn't work out the Super Brawl should be fun to record in any case.

I would love to get into this, and make some BoP vids.
How do you capture, from the TV or Ps3 ?
What device do you use ?

Hi KAV,

I'm no expert, but after a quick search I found this:

and a video tutorial.

Other planes aren't really visible unless I'm too close.
