Add Bf110C-7 to the list (atleast AI).

Couldn't hurt to release an offical list soon though, to stop all the speculation.

Also is the FIAT BR.20 really supposed to be flyable? Didn't hear that before.

There's a development update buried somewhere with screens of the Fiat Br.20 cockpit so most probably yes, it will be in release.

looooooooooooooooooong time ago there where WiP pisctures of the Lysander.

I spied a 109E-3 in the setup menu in one of the videos from that russian game expo a while back.....and Luthier pretty much confirmed it yesterday...

I thought the autogyro was British?

Remember Oleg, I think, talk about the pilot maybe taking potshots at 109s with a shotgun!?!

Avimimus

The autogyro isn't British - just in RAF service. It is actually one of the most popular pre-war autogyro designs. Oleg has also hinted that the Kamov seven may make an appearance someday.

Here is the list I threw together (missing some variant details):

Re. Land Vehicles - In one of the sceenshot updates, there is a great pic of the shortbarrelled 75mm PanzerIV ( probably PzIVD model ) and some captured French thingy behind them ( someone posted on what that was ) - of course, these may just be static, but experience with IL2 is that generally static vehicles were also in the list of moveables.

Although I'm guessing here, I would think it extremely unlikely to have a PzIV and not PzIII as well.

Edit: Here's the thread - the 24/09 update : http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=16627

There's also a picture of what looks like a British Vickers Mk VI light tank ( I don't know what the armoured car is )

Edit2: Rodolphe in post #186 on Page 19 of that thread posted pictures and explanations of all the vehicles in those pics.

The E-3 is like the only confirmed 109 variant so far.

Seems a bit weird, E-4 is definately necessary.

The boundary between upgraded E-3s and production E-4s is apparently virtually impossible to detect.

It is said that ground vehicles will have suspension models and that they will have damage models which are as detailed as the aircraft damage models in the original Il-2. A drivable truck is also expected in the SDK...

The boundary between upgraded E-3s and production E-4s is apparently virtually impossible to detect............................

correct, BUT, if a E-3 was rearmed with the mineshell firing MG-FF/M is was renamed E-4, without any other changes necessary. And the receiving end of a firing MG-FF realy would 'feel' the difference ;)
Anyway, nothing is confiremd so far !! When a E-3 will be THE 109 variant in CoD, it will be a little disappointing IMHO

When I scanned through all those pics that people had posted of IGROMIR 2010 I thought I had seen a grayed-out silhouette of a BI-1 rocket plane in the aircraft selection screen. Has Luthier smuggled in his pet project again? ;)
Proof of concept for rocket engines inside the game engine maybe?

The irony in other replies may have gone over your head, the Mosquito wasn't in service in 1940. See here....

Personally i was waiting at least for 3 versions of Emil: E1, E3 Early and E3 Late with pilot protection added. We know since a lot of time ago that E4 is missed.

We'll have probably E3 (Early), and E3 Jabo (!!!???).

Some official words for us Emil pilots would be nice.

Emil Foghterbombers (any version) are very important for a game that simulates the BoB.

I know and i agree but was the E3 a Jabo? Wasn't it the E4/B, at least in the final phase of the BoB?

JG53Frankyboy

Every 109E could be equipted to be a -/B.
True, questionable is if much E-3 were left when the order came to rearm as fighterbombers 1/3 of all fighter squadrons .
And at least JG 53 used E-1/B in october 1940.

But that is pedantic, isnt it ? ;)

As far as I'm concerned only the Bf 109 E-1 (no E-1/B) was added to that list as a flyable aircraft.

Bf 109 E-3:

* 2 MG 17
* 2 MG FF (no Minengeschosse and therefore no bullets which could cause explosive damage)

Bf 109 E-1:

* 4 MG 17
* slightly less weight because of the missing MG FF and as a result of that an increased speed of 10-20 km/h compared to the Bf 109 E-3

koivis

* 2 MG FF (no Minengeschosse and therefore no bullets which could cause explosive damage)

The MG FF still used normal high-explosive shells, the Minengeschoss was just a special thin-walled shell, obviously containing more much more explosive.

The Germans used HE shells in even smaller calibres, namely 13 mm MG 131, and 15 mm MG 151.

lets hope, because with the next Patch the 109E-4 and -/B will appear, that the Bf110C-4 and C-7 will get their MG-FF/M !
without these canons they are not a -4 and -7 ;)

You're right. I meant the normal shells in the MG FF didn't contain enough explosive to cause serious damage to a plane. For example:

Sprenggranate: 3,7 g
Brandgranate: 3,6 g + 0,4 g incendiary
Minengeschoss: 18 g

The MG131 was invented in 1940 and primarily used as defensive guns in bombers. There were some special variants of the Bf 109 which had the MG131, but these were only for Galland and his friends^^. In 1943 it became standard in most Bf 109s. Its explosive shell only contains 1,4 g explosive.

The MG151/15 had 2,8 g of explosive but was invented in early 1941 with the Bf 109 F-2, a little bit too late for the BoB.

But let's get back to topic^^. They did use some explosive shells in their MG FF's but they were pretty useless.
