Stealth players in BoP

Howdy chaps

The other night me and McQ where setting up a strike session in SIM.
We where to do some recceflying ahead of the tourney.
In Lobby a third person joined, which was very ok, since me and McQ then could team up and be able to talk as we flew.

After launching the game, we suddenly spotted a fourth plane on the map.
Checking the player list, the opposing team consisted of only ONE player, namely the one from pregame lobby. On approach we, were able to kill the STEALTH and got an ID onscreen. After the kill, it still didnt appear on the player list.

Checking the PSN ID the player was "fresh" to BoP, but the flying indicated otherwise.
So the question is, Are there ways to "cheat" the game settings, to do stuff like this, or is it just an occasional game error ?

Interesting you say that. i was playing once and noticed someone had crashed a fair way into the game, who's nick wasnt in the pilot's list and i never spotted him on the map or visually.

I believe that I have seen this problem as well. It could be caused by someone joining at the very second that the game is launched, thereby they get in but the game doesn't register it as it hasn't assigned them a team, they have just joined into it.

Sounds weird though, never seen this happen before. Was it a Dauntless out of Florida?!

i have had this happen twice both in tb once i was playing a 1v1 and a third plane was in the game on niether team both me and the other guy were able to shoot him down and get points the other time was also a 1v1 tb and some how i was the 3rd plane on neither team and my name did not show up as in the game but i was still able to shoot both guys down but did not recieve points strange indeed

as for useing another name i do this sometimes on arcade becuse i get blocked a lot i guess since i win alot and sometimes its hard to find a game i can get into as mavrickandgoose

Yeah, I remember weve had this asked before on this forum. I think we concluded it is a connection problem unique to IL2 on ps3 where one person doesn't connect fully with the host so he is in the game but the hosts game doesn't know it and also tells the other players that player isn't in the game. Several strange episodes lately.
I hope its just due to network problems and not lag cheaters and hackers.


I will fight and fly fair, with no means of cheating and honor the victorious.

think the whole PSN is under pressure from hackers, ive noticed it alot in other games where it was practically unheard of tbh ............. its getting really annoying

I witnessed this phenomenon tonight. In lobby we had 3 v 3 on arcade CTA and when match started I spotted a red triangle amongst our team. A rogue bomber had got in the match. What's really weird is it spawned on our side of the airfield.

Something seriously wrong with BoP at the moment...and it's not GT5!

I can only second the two gentlemen ahead of me on this. Weird moments appear. Spooky sh*t. For the entertainmentvalue. And I really hate being paranoid. I'm too old for that now.

wookie .......... it is GT5 :p lol but the PSN is underpressure from hackers atm the mo, imo ofc, esp on childish games like MW2
