New Orc Quests - (spoilers)

Went through the entire quest line until I reached the point where I was asked to stop Scrounger. So, during his talk there is an easy way to escape conversation without attacking his army. The quest alludes to a possible alternative, more peaceful solution just in the way Scrounger speaks.

I ended up attacking him and thus ending the quest line as completed but surely there must be a way to solve this differently? Anyone care to shed some light?

I'll answer this myself so feel free to bring it back. After reading the manual, it seems to make it clear that this last guy is indeed the end of the quest line.

The new thing that is puzzling me is that they say there are 7 new quests, and the manual only mentions 4. Perhaps one of those is split into several parts...

Yea i'm at the same point too and I would swear from the dialog there must be a peaceful solution. Has anyone found one ?
