the babysitter help!!

i've tried many times to beat the mission the babysitter in the single missions but i get my butt kicked within a couple minutes. any suggestions to beat the level would really be appreciated.

how i beat it was by following the plane you are supposed to protect. All planes trying to shoot him down will come from behind so stay about 1 klick or less behind him and shoot down all planes coming up on him.
