No "select" button when using PC stick on PS3

I am using a Saitek Cyborg X PC stick, and it works well after programming the button within the game. However I can't carry out second objectives, because the game asks me to push "select", there is no option in the programming for it. I have tried pushing the "gear" button as this is the default action for the select button, still no luck. Anybody have an answer for this ?

Foot I am having same issue with Logitech Wingman Stick it looks like it was an issue that did not get fully resolved .

I use an x-52 and have been wondering how other PC stick users use start select and the PS home buttons. If I plug in a controller it removes my throttle control.
