Set Items

Quick question, about the set items, do you need to equip them all to get the set bonus or just having all of them in your inventory automatically grant you the set bonus?

Plus, I know for sure I'll be able to complete 1 set, the one involving the Inquisitor Blade, don't have the blade yet but got the other 2 items. I play as a Paladin and the +5 morale to paladin and inquisitor looks great. But I know that you can trade the blade for scrolls with the priest at Scarlet Wind. Aside the resurection spell (which I already got) what other srcoll are involved and are they any good?
