Ok I have been a long term PC flight simulator user (about 20 years), and as I have recently moved my gaming to PS3 I was overjoyed that this game came out. I have been lurking this forum waiting with eager anticipation for the patch to arrive that would allow me to use my existing X52 joystick throttle and rudder setup. Now it has I have finally purchased the game.

After some playing around and readi ng a few helpful posts on here (thank you), I have my stick and throttle working kind of.

The two problems I am facing are firstly that my saitek proflight rudder pedals are not working. This may be an issue due to them being a separate controller. Can someone please confirm this?

The second issue and infinately more annoying is that the throttle behaves in the most rediculous and unintuative manner. Essesentially itseems to have three zones. Up, middle and down. To change throttle setting I have to select up or down, watch the screen while my "throttle setting" changes then return the stick to the middle zone to keep it there. A throttle should behave more directly, ie bottom of the range = 0, top of the range = max, half way = 50% etc, instead of this bizzare push forward o increase, center to hold setup.

Is there a way i can change the settings of this before I return the game for my money back??

Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the rudder pedals, have you tried assigning them? And for the throttle, i believe if you go into custom layout settings and turn on absolute throttle, your throttle well behave the way you want. I have an X-52 and everything works great.

Thanks a lot. I still can't get my rudder pedals working as I dont think the game will accept two separate controllers but since the stick has a twist grip this isn't such a big deal. The throttle is fixed So am happy. I have been hanging out for this game since well before it was released so time to rack up the flight time :)

Any chance of putting this into the sticky - 'tested PC sticks' thread so it does notget lost later?
