View Full Version : A public apology...

I admit that I may have recieved the wrong impression about InfiniteStates. I can see from the maturity level of most of his postings that he may not be the malacious instigator I had originally thought on a previous thread. I extend my humble apologies to InfiniteStates for slandering him unfairly and to Lexandro Albion for making fun of him while standing up for his friend. I thank Desode for his insight and Nike-it the moderator for wisely closing my polling thread. I had felt a little pissed at an earlier thread being closed, but I am over it. I have been dealing with some stress as of lately, it being college finals week and all, and I was in a different mind set. I do not condone bullying, and do not wish to be branded as one. I also do not want to make any new enemies, or loose any of my cherished friendships over something so trivial. Please forgive me and forget this sillyness, again my apologies to everyone who was offended. No hard feelings here...

No worries man - no offence taken. And the majority vote in your favour taught me a little lesson also.
Peace, and good luck with your finals. Don't be as stupid as I was during mine and buy an N64 with the grant money then spend all night before an exam playing Mario and Wave Race ;) Good times - but silly.
Anyway, yeah appreciate the apology. Sorry your thread got locked, but I can't resist Gunny sometimes. I actually quite like the guy for his amusing banter. I'm pretty sure the feelings not mutual though...

I heard, from a pilot, that RAF pilots have to be able to swim a length of the pool (dunno if that's Olympic or not) underwater, get out, do 25 press ups, swim a length underwater again, do 25 press ups, and basically continue that til they throw up. Then do it twice more

woo!
1 lenght underwater in olympic pool i can do, the following 25 pushups shouldnt be a prob either, but i'm 100% sure some1 would have to fish me out of the water halfway through the second lenght and perform CPR...
Was watching Mythbuster yesterday when they were tryin the sonic boom breaking glass myth. I was amazed at the ease these pilots can take G's: I mean they were pulling like 4 or 5 G's testing the host's limits, and the pilot was talking to him the whole time, not even breathing hard, while the guy in the back was being completly crushed and finally blacked out. These guys are beasts.
Edit: oh and cheers to you automaticaddict. Pure class

Oh yeah, I mean pilots have to be at least as fit as a foot soldier (for obvious reasons), then has to be even fitter to cope with the insane Gs and pressures exerted on him. It's much the same with F1 drivers. They're some of the fittest sportsmen out there because they have to cope with forces getting on 6g sometimes. They lose several stone of weight every single race.

Yeh earlier this year Alonso's water delivery system wasn't working during the race and he lost somewhere in the region of 5-6kg, in an hour and a half. When Michael Schumacher was at his peak he was doing 4 hours of training a day, and when in Malaysia (the hottest and most humid race of the year where cockpit temperatures can hit 60 degrees) Kazuki Nakajimi, who isn't even an accomplised driver, played a full length tennis match, then went for a 10km run, in his race suit, to become accustomed to the heat.
Back on topic though fair play to Automatic Addict, lots of respect and camaraderie in here, now can we all get back to trying to blow holes in each other?

OK lets end this ,I have nothing against you I will say what pissed me off ..See you made comments about my grammar and spelling .Ok I`m dyslectic and have had to try living my life raising my kids and trying to be a man in this would not being able to type post and read well and it takes me Twice as long to type anything because I`m on spell check most of the time.
And my post are never pretty,So when someone wants to pick on me about it .I get very defensive .
So Lets end this I have no reason to dislike you.I dont even really know you.
So Im sorry. But please the next time you feel you have to bash someone try not to pick on grammer. Some are doing good just to spell the words right. And when someone gets as mad about something as I did about you picking on my grammer you should have known there was something else going on..

Dude, as I've said, I really don't pick on your writing...I've just gone through 7 odd pages (before I got bored) of my previous posts and the only time I mention it is if you did first. You seem to have convinced yourself that I pick on you for this, when I'm actually quite careful to steer clear of it. I mean, if I turn into the grammar police on the internet I'd never get anything done in real life! Life is far too short ;)
I personally thought you hated me because I thought BoP was a great game despite it's flaws, and you didn't. I'm not going to apologise for having a differing opinion, but I'm truly sorry for any offence you may have taken. It was not, and never is my intent.

I can't imagine what it's like personally, although I can sympathise. It's something a lot of people take for granted, so it's easy to forget how much more diificult life must be. If it makes you feel any better, everyone is dyslexic, it's just a question of to what degree. It's why when you write or read the same word over and over, even though it's spelt correctly you start to convince yourself it's not :)
Just don't go trying to write "Gunny was here" when you're under fire, ok? At least wait until the tanks roll in... ;):P
So let's leave it, like Jerry Springer, with this final thought...
