I said this in a previous post. I made a custom layout and when I was flying the P-51 it was hard to control and kept stalling out like it was before the patch came out. I paused the game and went back to default 3 and it flew fine.

Edit: It has been said this is happening with multiple planes.

Huh. I hadn't taken the time to Create a custom layout yet, But it doesn't make sence... Maybe you'll just have to fly on a regular layout if you want to fly the P-51.

I wonder if its to do with the extra sensitivity and deadzone controls they added along with the custom layout option. Have you tried tweaking them?
To be honest, I looked at that option screen and didn't have a clue what half of it meant! Maybe someone who know's about that sort of stuff could write up a guide?

HeyTKR you said you made a custom layout. Are you using a flight stick in the custom layout ?
Are you using the custom layout in sim mode ?
and if you are is it safe to assume that you had sim mode unlock before the patch ?

I having zoom problems in all custom layouts, i'd appreciate your information.

Like I said. The sensitivities I left alone so they were the same from custom to default 3 layout.
Edal has also documented this as well with different planes. It seems if you try to use a custom layout, what they did in the patch seems to reverse itself.

Hey,
I am mostly using default 3 right now. I messed with the custom layout for my sidewinder stick the most. Then I started playing around with the pad. I tested this zoom dilemma with a pad with custom layout and couldn't get the zoom to work, if I switched to arcade or realistic the zoom button worked.
Yes sim mode has been unlocked since the day I got the game, release day.

Thats really weird.. I wonder then if the flight model's were changed at all, or whether they did some kind of trickery with the controls to stabilise the P-51... I'm not sure how that could be the case, as apparently the FM has improved in other ways too, but its definitely pretty odd.

I'm sure they changed them, I just think it's something to do with the custom layout. The P-51 seems to fly great with all the setups that are in the game except custom.
