Line yourself up with the runway, flying past it in the opposite direction to your eventual landing path, at around 750 metres and drop throttle to 35%. Extend combat flaps and once past the runway enter a ~30° bank towards the runway, dropping altitude and speed until you've turned 180° and are now heading back towards the runway at around 500 metres and no more than 350kph. Once below 300kph drop flaps to take-off setting and extend gear. You're now looking to maintain a descent rate of 5-10 metres/second, and to drop off speed to around 250kph until at around 300 metres and three runway lengths from the runway threshold.
Drop flaps to landing and continue in at this descent rate, adding nose-up trim steadily as you approach. As you cross the threshold you should be steadily backing off the throttle to around 20%, and at 30m or so off the runway begin to pull back on the stick to flare. In most prop fighters you're looking to touch down at around 180kph, with a descent rate of no more than 5 metres per second. This will vary slightly from a/c to a/c, but for the Hurricane, which is an excellent choice to practice in, these figures should be pretty much dead on. Remember to control speed with pitch and sink rate with throttle; this may seem backwards but it's by far the most efficient way to control a landing.
NB: Hurricane in actuality only has the one stage of flaps, but I don't recall whether this is true of BoP as I've been playing 1946 for some time now. If it is you should drop these at the time I suggest dropping to take-off flaps.

thx a lot!but my biggest problem is not to flip over and crash when im already on ground!how can i avoid that???because when i roll along the runway and have about 60kph i suddenly tilt forward and crash!

Ahhh, the infamous tipping problem. What I do is turn my flaps to raised when I'm fully on the ground and let go of everything but the brakes. 100% brakes and it will tip up a little bit, but not flip completely over. Do not use the elevator once you're on the ground.

Also the Spitfire tips easily.
Some planes are easier than others but just a few additional tips, Apply rudder as you are slowing down and fire guns to give you some recoil till you get the hang of it. No brakes at the moment on Xbox joysticks (PS3? not sure) but you do have brakes on the gamepad, never tried them as I use a stick.

There's not much you can do with most fighters unless you use regular controller layout, not aviator or flight stick. There are no wheel brakes on any mode but wireless controller standard. There's a chance they won't tip, but usually they will.
Sturmovik's don't tip over, neither do most of the bombers or the ju-87, also the bf-110 is easy to land. With these planes pull back on the stick to slow them down, it takes a while but they won't tip over.
I tried to use the a-20 in CTA mode today and found out it has no brakes in any layout. It will keep rolling for miles like it's on a sheet of ice.

A-20's the bomber right? Then yes, it does have brakes. Your game must've been glitched...

now im actually able to land my spit!most of the times i land very clean. i play on xbox with a gamepad.... but there is this one single mission where you have to inspect the airports in britain. i suceed it in arcade mode after plenty of tries but in sim mode i totally suck. i dont understand why especially in this mission im not able to land my spit.does anybody have the same problem with this mission???did anybody solve it???
This mission is frustrating as you have a fair bit of flying to do before you get to the Airfields and the limited attempts will get you cursing. Weather doesn't help either.
1. Don't ask me why, but I found it easier to go to the most Northerly runway first and land there using a southerly approach for all three. I also practised landing on a few fields first rather than keep flying to the runways and having to start again each time I failed. Some say you only need to touch down, cant verify that as I always landed and came to a standstill (eventually)
Landing flaps enabled, I keep my airspeed to around 96-100 mph before touch down and try to land at the start of the runway. Reduce throttle slowly, stick back but don't be tempted to pull it all the way back yet or try and slow down too quickly, apply rudder and guns firing at around 40mph and now use the stick. The trick with this seems to be allowing the plane more runway to actuall slow down and letting the plane to settle on the rear wheel naturally. I always use the rudder (a method used with flight sims that have carrier landings but where the plane has no tail hook). Now that is fun, especially if you are watching others land while you sit on the deck having already done it!

figure out which direction the rain is falling or clouds are moving, and land into the wind if possible.
Other than that, in single player mode, once you have safely touched down, if you pause the game and switch to standard wireless controller layout you will have wheel brakes working automatically. Raise the flaps and apply elevator but don't push the tail down so much that it bounces back up. I think that's one thing that makes the plane tip. There's a small bump right in the middle of the smaller UK airfields, and if you're applying downforce to the tail when it hits that bump, it makes it bounce up, like hitting a springboard.
I agree the big airfield in the northeast is the best place to start. You could land a 747 on that.
