I was Norman Bates No Mates. Nada, zilch, nobody online in Real or Sim... suppose it's to be expected considering what's just been released.

yes .When the updates comes out,no one will care the players are gone. Maybe one or two of us hardcore players .I even changed my mind about trading it in because I love to fly with my friends. But my friends are gone and a few are so pissed they will never come back.I wonder if the poor sales of the next games from 505 or c1 will let them know how badly they messed this up.I for one will never buy a game from either of these company's again.I should have known when I found out that it was a Russian game there would be problems. There that comment will get this forum moving again!!

I was shocked last night. I had 11 friends on-line yesterday night, and all of 'em were playing the New Battlefield.

it was quit lonely all alone in my cockpit with no-one to fly with....

maybe i need to stay up later then
I was on from 9 till 11ish and nobody was on. I'll keep an eye out for you tonight if you are playing. Spent the night in training trying out some of Migervin's little tips! Look out ;)

Oh and Gunny, even with bugs galore I enjoy BOP more than Forza3. I traded that in for NFS Shift cos I kept nodding off on the job. (and Shift is full of bugs too), but it's fast as hell, and exciting so who cares.

I had no problems finding players last night. Infact I was a little suprised too, considering what had just been released. Both of you are on my frineds list but didnt see either of ya so maybe we were on at different times.

Well everybody knows Call of Duty is the greatest game of all time and if you don't play Call of Duty nobody will like you

And if you go around saying "Call of Duty, Call of Duty" it will make you happy

who cares if it turns people into a herd of freaking cows

join the stampede or be run over, is how Call of Duty works. Same as Halo. Same as all the other 10 or so "greatest shooters of all time." They're all the same game, you point, shoot and jump, but nobody cares.

I think Call of Duty is really a mind control device sent to Earth by aliens. Eventually everyone who plays Call of Duty is gonna be subliminally programmed to walk to Area 51 where the alien ship will collect them and haul them off to a distant planet to be served up in a fancy restaurant.

I can't be the only one who isn't the least bit interested in COD. Its quality not quantity that makes a game in MP. No problem getting games on SIM (so far and a great bunch of guys too!) despite the popularity of the release of COD MW2 which is to be expected given the hype. I suppose you are either an Xbox fan and always waiting for the next shooter or a Flight Sim Fan and I'm the latter. I liked Gears, Halo, Brothers In Arms but only as SP and it was the release of BOP that I actually bought Gold membership for. People will migrate from game to game but for me its BOP or nothing on MP! If the patch does make it then I think quite few will return but, patch or no patch, BOP has it all for me and if there are only a few of us left then that suits me fine..............

I was once a big fan of shooter games... until I gave them a try online
Nothing more frustrating than having a seemingly realistic game, getting a hang of the controls, starting to think that ur actually getting good at it and that this game could actually be like a real combatzone, until u play MP... then u see guys running at you, avoiding evry shells u fire at them by doin some crazy zigzag-polka dance and finally getting their kills with a knife while u emptied 5 clips on their ass not even hitting em once...

lost cause

I agree. I get slaughtered in online shooters like halo and cod. I've grown tired of them. I like adventure type shooters. Find things, unlock things, upgrades, treasures. Stuff like that. I'm in gamefly and cod mw2 is not in my que. Actually, I can't quit playing bop long enough to get anything else in the ps3, period.

I would play shooters again if any developer would fix this age-old problems:

) nobody cares if they get killed, it's always a banzai charge to get the high KDR. Real fights aren't like that.

) at close range, it is too easy to dodge and jump around and avoid being shot. knife fights are even stupider. It's not hard to aim at and hit someone 2 feet away with a knife, except in shooters.

) nobody has ever made realistic damage, few have no powerups, and none have mmo battles that last all day. MAG might be ok, I haven't seen it yet.

Try games (or modes) that have no, or limited, respawn... CoD: search and destroy, SOCOM, Counter Strike...

It's not hard to knife people in CoD or Battlefield, unless it's laggy.

Operation Flashpoint has realistic damage.

Nothing you describe is difficult to implement, but games have evolved to mostly please the main stream. And everything you described makes a game very unfun for the underdog.

Guess shooters aren't your thing then? lol

1- I play Crysis (one of my all time favorite games) multiplayer and charging out/ going rambo is the last thing any player wants to do. That's how you get a bad KDR.

2- I agree with that, you're at close range and the enemy just runs around zig-zagging and jumping all over the place so you can't hit him, then he just stabs you with a knife. It's not fun and it's not realistic.

3- I agree with this as well. No game would have realistic damage though, because it wouldn't be fun at all. For those of you who don't know, realistic damage is:

-When you get shot in the leg, your speed is reduced by 50%, and your health continuously drops until you die from blood loss. However, if you have a med-kit, you can apply pressure and bandage the wound, which gives you a 50% chance to live and a 50% chance to die from blood loss a minute or two later than normal. ;)

That's realistic.
