ok got officcial reply from darryl still publishing director of 1c here is a paste of his first email

Darren.

1C is not the publisher of il2 Sturmovik : Birds of Prey. 505 Games is the
publisher and have the relationship with Microsoft and Sony on this title.
You need to contact them to find out when they are releasing the patch
through the hardware firms networks.

I will also ask them, so we have an official reply to post on our forums.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

and here is his second reply

Darren,

The games publisher, 505 Games, have informed me the patch is undergoing QA.
As it mainly appears to relate to connectivity issues with the Playstation
Network, this QA will have to be strenuously applied and approved before
Sony will allow release.
I am sure they will resolve this as soon as possible.

so it seems that sony are the ones at fault here so if its a sony only prob that mean us on xbox can expect to see a patch soon ??

at least he had the decency to reply but not only that he emailed 505 and asked what the hold up was on our behalf top guy

im going to email him back to say thanks

That's some good work there Dazz :) Although I would have said to email the correct publishing company, it can't hurt to have another publisher helping on your behalf, so kudos to you sir...

Unfortunately 505 have just responded with the smoke and mirrors bollocks you would expect from these people. PS3 connectivity issues aren't even being addressed in the patch as far as I'm aware. Maybe someone can prove me wrong, but I'm sure Anton has said several times that the network code cannot and will not change.

It's just publisher spin for "we can't be arsed to release it because it will cost us money and make none in return". As far as my cynical self can see...

Well played for trying though :) </salute>

Awesome! I've got to admit when you said you were going to email them, I honestly thought you were wasting your time. I'm surprised they really gave you a constructive answer! :)

Wow. That's great on his behalf to go through that effort! Isn't always the PS3 that's the hold up...heh.

Anyways, the publisher may hold up the MS DLC since they don't want the PS3 backlash from players who will have to wait. I know I would do that.

I wouldn't be suprised if the connectivity issues they speak of are the same ones we already have, there are a few that occur with some regularity now.

If these issues are the same thing, then release the damn thing.

Could just be making excuses at this point.
