I think this game out really well, the background is just a touch "fantastical" (if you know what I mean) but I think thats cool. Fell free to give me any feedback.

Also watch me on deviantART and I'll return the favor, as I'd like to see what other artistic stuff people here are doing.

Enjoy. ;)

EDIT: Spitfire, I meant Spitfire!!! :D The plane in the image is actually a spitty not a hurri.

Very nice picture. But just to clarify, thats not a Hurricane as the topic title suggests, its a Spitfire. Possibly a MkIX or MkX.

F*ck that's a bit embarrassing. I wasn't 100% sure, but I thought it looked like more like a hurri. My source image didn't specify. I'll have to change the title, thanks for the heads up lexandro. ;)

Na Matt, you simply meant he was flying his Spitfire home in a hurricane :)

NP man, glad to help. I can pretty much tell instantly a Spit from almost any angle since its one of my boyhood favourites.

It's only too bad I can't change the actual title of the thread. Now my blunder will be witnessed by everyone, lol.

By looking at your spitfire picture, i can see its part of "32 squadron" so this pic automatically makes the date at least 1942, since prior to that the squadron flew the hurricane.

So...

The squadron flew the spit from 42 onwards, mostly in north africa, italy, greece.... that side of europe (the med).

Though i believe (could be wrong) the squadron took part in the dieppe raide flying spitfires, so this could well be that spitfire.

Maybe a MkVc??

I could be WELL OFF with this though.

Its actually 92 squadron, "east india squadron" a famous pilot flew for them (stanford tuck)

The flew blenhiems first but switched to the spitfire and used them to cover the dunkirk evacution and the battle of britain. In 42 they then moved to egypt.

I know nothing really of this squadron other than the above, stanford tuck was a damn good pilot.

Im guessing this pic IS prior to 1942 though, since they moved to egypt the camo in the pic wouldnt really blend in. So any Mk spitfire prior to 42 with cannons.... thats probably a good bet :D

Oh dear.... a little research shows that they only used the marking GR from 1939-1940.

After that they moved to QJ until 46.

If anyone can shed any light on this spitfire i'd appreciate it. Its got me stumped now!! would love to know.
