I must recall that enhancing your perfomance artificially is stricly prohibited by the IL2 International Federation of Online Gaming.

I know that's unfair....

I was flying under the influence the other night. What sucked was, I was flying for over an hour trying to find my target, only to realize then I was not playing BOP, but was in Baja Edge Of Control...

I don't think I won....

Never drugs or alcohol but sleep deprivation to be sure:rolleyes: I was doing a training mission the other night to get familiar with a plane, and fell asleep. I had the time set on unlimited and with the magic map edge turn my plane kept flying alog for an hour or so. I guess a nicely tuned merlin is pretty soothing.

I have to admit that I'm always drunk, or on my way to being drunk, whenever I fly online.... after a few hours, things start getting very difficult though.

After a dinner party at my house last weekend I wanted to show off BoP to a buddy. I was a six pack and two glasses of wine deep into the evening and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I was overcorrecting my targeting like crazy and flying like I was well...drunk. My buddy is a PC IL-2 veteran and was very impressed with the game (no thanks to my stellar demo). Too bad his wife won't let him get a console.

So that's why Edal86 thrashed us in that Sim CTA! I had my headset muted cause he kept rocketing the crap out of me. I was silently pleading for air cover. But if you're flying on the hooch, it makes me feel a lot better. We'll play some more sometime.

aye man :D, he was in the I-16 so its quite hard to tango with him especially if he is indeed one of the most skillful pilots for sims. (he top 3 on the dogfight charts) :o
