Whats the point in getting angry over a computer game? Its not actually going to affect your real life? Its really simple, if your angry about things, don't buy it and don't play it. Buy something else that doesn't make you angry (if such a game exists!)

Haha - I just realised the irony of how very English it is of us to discuss the weather amidst the raging warzone of this thread.... lol

It's a fair point, however what is actually annoying is being told off by some stupid little spod for offering any criticism on a forum which has that express purpose.

Criticism is good and constructive but there has been a lot of anger displayed in this thread, that was my only point. E.g. "being told off by some stupid little spod" is anger and uneccessary.

OK I didn't expect my thread to make such a big reaction.

Honestly I know three people IRL and numerous people online not getting this game because of the awkward controllers,
and now it seems like other flaws have risen to the surface like the lack of P-51D cockpit and possibly more in the full release.

If the developers expect this game to sell and want to get a fanbase they can at least can promise us a patch to fix these issues
instead of turning their back to us.

There are few ways to do it.
First, if no target is selected already - press 'A', and the nearest to your crosshair fighter will be selected (well, we have some heurestics here, depending on angle and distance). Automatically, the game build list of all enemies nearby, so you can cycle with 'A' through all of them.

What you are probably asking about is how to select another fighter after this (list is already made, and you can just cycle).

First, just shoot somewhere to enemy. He'll become auto-targeted automatically.
Second, destroying selected target force the game to re-build this list.
Third, after a while (15 seconds, afair) pressing 'A' will work like there is no target (selecting closest one).
And the last, but not the least. Press'n'hold 'A' will select one of your Main Objective target (if there are any nearby). It is very helpful.

We experimented a lot with. Tens of different solutions. And stayed on this.

Now, if you think over it, it is reasonable.
Always selecting closest target by 'A' won't allow you to select targets which are probably more interesting - let's say you are on tail of one bomber, but closest one is fighter covering it. Or, more illustrative, ground targets/ships won't be selected at all - most of the time, you are not diving.
And we need to have some way to select Main Targets, because, um, they are Main.

Hope, that answers your question.
