I agree, the only way I finished that mission on Sim mode was with Unlimited restarts, and to pretty much crash into the area I thought the targets were, try to note the flashes when the camera zoomed out and where they were in relation to my crash. Half the time, even with the camera circling, it's impossible to see the tanks or AA's.
