[QUOTE=MadTommy;360258]I agree OP, main thing it needs now is more people playing.

Can't say i agree with you... maybe a benchmark for a WWII sim, but its got a lot to do to even get close to RoF or the DCS series IMO, it is still a mile off the level these have set.

I just lately have figured out the meaning of fanboy.

It dosen't count in this case, look at the posts in this thread and other similar threads, people realizing just how good the game is.

It seems the community is generally happy with this game since the patches, the obvious comments and posts in other "Fanboy" threads are testament. Mabye it's because i joined after the patches. Who knows and who cares anymore I think COD is awesome!

Of course this is a "Fanboy" thread for some people.

The so called "Fanboys" always had envisioned the actual state, or better, for this sim.

I, for my part, had never closed my senses to the flaws and bugs that are still there now and i don't believe the other "Fanboys" have.

But, i know it is a great sim already now, and getting better with every patch.

Yeah apologies nearmiss, as i said earlier I should have refrained. But it was a moronic post that drew my ill advised comment. I'll happily take the slap on the wrist for it.
I mean heaven forbid a newcomer to the game actually has the cheek to make a post saying that he is enjoying the game on the said game's forum. Disgusting

EDIT:
albx.. does the saying kettle calling the pot black mean anything to you?

You seem to blowing this well out of proportion albx. The Op simply said he was enjoying the game.. and you post saying that it was disgusting, surly you can see that that was uncalled for. Are people not allowed to say they enjoy the game on these forums?

it's great but not finish
but you need to test more than few day

you can create runway... but only the host see it !
you can put cow... but only the host see it !
you can make script, but trigger were disabled...
and a lot of bug/feature desactivate...

but yes it's great, just don't exagerate
they are a lot of work and communication for dev

It's not perfect, sure, and I can't even imagine how bad it was 9 months ago. Though, the little details they carved into this product, the amount of new features, the engine management, the clickable cockpit, the antropomorphic control, the exploding tires, the damage model, the flight model, the ballistics (I find much harder bringing down planes now, but when I do I feel so satisfied) are at a completely new level. If really 1c will get out a 50% improvement on performances, this game, plus the mods that will come out, will be as legendary as its predecessor IMHO.
What performance mods did you use?

HT off, Ramdisk (no effect on me), game booster 3, tweaking settings in CCC (all performance settings On / all quality settings Off) and lowering in game settings to 2005 standards.

It worked for me in terms of acceptable fps... Of course I'm still suffering from CTD'S, stutters and massive RAM drains.

Regards.

CloD is great, well, more like it has great potentials. I'm sure that it will develop into a milestone of flight simulations. There's still some way to go, but it looks promising.

Let's see what I like about Clod:

Lighing effects are brilliant, be it plane reflections or a sunset over the channel.

I love how kills work - shouldershooting and kill stealing isn't a problem anymore because we have shared victories!

I love CEM and the complexity of the models.

I love the grass, the fact that we have short and long grass, I enjoy belly landing on a field

The new sounds are also very good. At realease sounds were the worst part of CloD but now they're awesome. If only they could be improved with some startup / shutdown sounds. Good job, devs!

I love how you can dress up your own pilot. I used to play the THPS series, and setting up my own skater was one of my favorite features - no I'm not gay - too bad that I still can't select the iconic Irvin jacket because it goes through the fuselage of the Spit.

Damage models - jaw dropping!

Built in weathering - brilliant idea, a pity that it doesn't work yet (/anymore )

Gun belting - would be an excellent feature if it worked properly.

...and the list goes on. There's a lot to love about this sim! Just keep up the hard work and everyone will be happy
