LOL. Someone needs a lobotomy.

Clod was released and still is BROKEN. It is not a PC issue.

First things first

furbs stated that 99% of the people were experancing CTD

Which is NOT true

Based on posts in this very forum we know for a fact that some never experanced a CTD, and other only experanced them a few times

What that means is the CTD is very PC depended.

Just to be crystal, I am NOT saying the CTD is NOT a CoD bug, never have, never will! All I am pointing out is that it is PC depended.

And clearly I am in good company, because even BS went as far as to note that they are not experancing any CTD on 'thier' PCs. Which is another way of saying, we don't have every kind of PC combination out there at our disposale to beta test on, thus there is a slight chance that some people may still experance CTDs post patch. Why else would BS qualify the statment by saying 'on our PCs'?

Hope that helps!

S!
ACE i have no idea what percentage of people have CTD's, i pulled the number out of my bum.

I was trying to get across the majority of people are experiencing CTD's online just like the testers, i wanted to know if they tested the patch online which they have.
They say post patch that they have fixed the CTD's on their PC's which says to me the CTD was software related, now lets hope when they release the patch its them same for the majority of us.

Just to be crystal, I don't think there is enough data to even say 'most'.

But based on past posts in this forum I would admit it apears to be about 2/3s do and 1/3 dont.

But we have to keep in mind that not everyone that owns CoD posts in this forum, thus even that is a skewed value.

Add to that the FACT that your poll on this subject was LOCKED becase of a few guys trying to promote the 100% CTD case were caught using multi handles to vote mult time and that number becomse even more worthlesss

Note I never said it was not software related! All I ever said is it is PC depended! Put another way, some PCs are more supseptable to the software bug than others.

I'm just trying to push the pre-patch euphoria down to realistic levels here, imagine the anti-climax when some people still are experience regular CTD's after the patch. As B6 and luthier themselves said in the update:

Finally, we need to mention the launcher.exe crashes. This was a very hard issue to address as it wasn't caused by a single 100% reproducible bug, but rather rare combinations of various uncommon events.

It wasn't a single bug that they could just locate and squash with a couple of lines of code but by re-writing the engine and optimizing it they have probably minimized the chance of CTD's to a ridiculously low level. I'm sure someone will still have a CTD or two after the patch but they will most likely be a lot less frequent and a lot less common.

P.S There never was a CTD bug, the whole game engine was the bug.

No, they tested on Etch A Sketches. Frame rates were a little slow, but they released it anyways.

PS would this be a bad time to point out that me.. the so called fanboy is pointing out that 1C may still have CTD issues post patch?

Which pretty much debunks anyone who ever thought of me as a fanboy! In that a true fanboy would be saying the following..

Everyone I am telling you this patch will be different
Huh.. kind of sounds like furbs last post? So is it safe to say furbs is a fanboy now?
