i think the same thing... delay of 6 month for "wide" testing is too long...
we expect to the final patch in 6 month...

or if we have "friday beta-patch" we can participate to the exhaustiv test and not waiting an alpa patch as the final.

With all respect, how long will that take? And, by implication, it will be our fault if the game will not work fine on all machines if we do not send crash dumps? After all that time you offer something like "cooperate or die" ? Sorry, IMO that's too easy and no real solution.

They should make it compatible and working flawless asap. That's it !

They know it but it does not help them.

No one is obliged to help. Only those who want to may help. Others should not install alpha or beta anyway. There are plenty of other games to play till CloD is improved by those who want to help. It may take several years.

If Activision or EA have better developers they can try to produce a better WWII flightsim and make it profitable somehow. There are not many qualified developers in Russia unfortunately.

Thats an excellent point, as frustrated as we get with everything that goes on, we have to try and support these little companies to keep getting us the games we want, sims are not that big over here anymore, everyone wants to put out the next Call of Duty, so the most we can hope for are games like World of Warplanes... I dont want to live in a world like that so an Alpha of IL2 is better than what EA or Activision might publish... IMHO

So send in those crash reports... I will soon as I have one, but i havent yet, thank the sim gods!

You want the game to get fixed? Tell them what's wrong about it. That's what Ataros says and it's also the purpose of this testing patch.

But really tell them. Throwing hands up in the air and screaming "why won't it wooooork!", or saying "i don't care, just fix it" does not amount to telling. It amounts to expecting others to guess what you want and implement it. Not a very realistic expectation i might say.

Cheers

Blackdog, everything is said and documented a hundred times in this board. A database has been created for their easy reference, and if that's not enough they should simply spend a weekend playing CloD on a customary PC. I'm convinced they are fully aware of the problems but until now they are not able to get those damn thing work w/o crashes. We waited 7 month for a "beta" patch that finally was an "alpha" patch of what ever, but take your time follow the 1.06.17582 bug thread to see what I'm talking about.

For me it makes no sense to send anything anywhere as long as they have obviously no clue whats wrong with their code in general.

Cheers

And the flip side of that coins is.. If you choose not to DL the alpha/beta patch, or choose to DL it but not send in your dump files, don't be surprised if your 'specific hardware error' does not get addressed (fixed) in the final patch.

There are so many different hardware and software OS, and driver combinations out there that it is unrealistic to expect 1C to account for them all while trying to developing cutting edge software.

In short, this is your chance to be part of the solution, you asked for it, now you got it, step up!

Yea bombers seem fine. Which makes me very happy. But now I have a 109 that crashes after 20-30 minutes of flying.

I didn't have log=1 enabled but I do now. That so far is the only thing I can tell that is crashing.
