Its fiction Athos, but seems to get good reviews, and is apparently well researched. I had never heard of it either!

Yeah, prices are high these days. I remember when I got Black Cross - Red Star Vol 1 and 2 for 90 DM (45€) combined ... and Volume 3 cost me about 100€.

Every week I found myself reading some pages... amazing stuff, like the one on the Steinhilper book.

In this book and in "the Blond Knight of Germany" there is the story about the Russian soldiers raping the young girls after being delivered by the US soldiers, and while Graf says that after the Russian general arrived 3 guys were shot, Hartmann says they were hanged...

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter.
