Dear Luthier,

I can not say "thanks for the feedback" after the long silence, I hope you will forgive my direct honesty:

It is my personal opinion that it is time to see some professionalism and receive proper feedback on what is work in progress and what is the status of the development.

This consistent communication of colour pictures and (now) youtube music is "adding insult to injury"

The past weeks' communication has been reduced to "bread and games" without any relevance to the actual teething problems this simulation has.
We were receiving better information in the past years during the development of CoD than today!

This kind of postings is a slap on the face of all people who spent so much valuable time posting the bugs your simulation has.
Because, if the only thing you can find to tell me is the "jingle bells" of an 8-year old, how do you expect me to take you for serious and believe that you yourself know the ten things you should be working upon!?

I do not dare to think what the next piece of communication will be....

I am too old for this silliness!

+1 (except the too old part )

I do have to agree, while I laughed at the post I was, and I am sure many others were, expecting the video to show off the sounds you have been working on.

I hope you have read what GRAthos posted, he is not the only long term supporter and customer that is beginning to have doubts... I personally am still enjoying the game the graphics are fantastic the DM is AMAZING but the cracks currently in the game are not showing the amount of work and hours that have already gone into it hopefully you will give us some more info in the coming days.

Thanks.

I have to say the sound this kid makes and which I assume is the new audio to be used for 109 start up is pretty impressive.

May I suggest this for the Spitfire audio?

Cheers, MP

" The sound is progressing well "... As for the FM , we should be ready for Italy's release. The DM should be good for Madagascar's release soon to be announced. Clouds will be implemented in time for Iceland's pre-Alpha testers in first quarter on 2012. So everything is going well !

Salute !

He's saying there's not a finished product to display. Progress and finished product are different things and when something is finished it didn't just materialize out of thin air.
In our case here, progress is probably a bunch of C++ code, but i doubt it would be useful to most of the people here, hence there's nothing to show.

Imagine this "Hey guys, today we made great progress in the sounds, here's what we did", followed by a few hundred lines of code. How do you think the forum would react to this very real, very "inside info" type of progress report?

What would be quite easy to do, as Luthier has said they have made good progress on the sound would be to show us a small sample of the sound.

so post a clip of banjo music, or post a very small clip of the new sound?

what would go down better?
