That's also a method. The method I described will give you constant information about your FPS. It's what somebody prefers.

Yes very strange. Something is bottlenecking your system. You have more than enough computer to run the game............Can you open up Taskmanager when in game to see whats using up your resouces?
Are you running Win 7 32 Bit or 64 Bit? If its 32 then you're only using 4 meg of your ram and between win 7 and the game it may not be enough. |

Just out of interest how do you have Vsync and Triple buffering set?
With my ATI card, Vertical sync and Tripple buffering are enabled and I did the same with the Nvidia GTS250 fitted in my other PC. I disabled both in the Nvidea control panel (I set Vertical Sync to 'Application Controlled') and my texture demanding maps/missions run smoother, higher fps and suprisingly no screen tearing. Haven't had a chance to try these settings in MP but SP is a definite improvement. |

do you use mods? Can you try also disabling the sounds?

S!
With IL-2 and NV, turn OFF Threaded Optimization and CUDA as it does not get boost of them. Also in BIOS turn off HPET(High Precision Event Timer) as it causes latency spikes on some systems. Cures some of the stuttering. |
