Forza 3, Operation Flashpoint 2 and Borderlands are stealing my time at present I will continue to play IL2 regardless of a patch although I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival too.

Yep.... but still learning to cope and make do with things as they are.

I just avoid using all the aircraft that need the patch, which is a lot unfortunately and fly mainly in arcade mode online until they sort out unreal stalling problems in dives..... I've both had a stall warning and overspeed crash at the same time.... actually impossible in reallfife.

I just bought this game today.

I was looking for a flight sim, that had cockpit views, and was historical. (I have Ace Combat 6, and while good, and realistic, the japanime stuff drives me crazy!).

For years I played Battle of Britain, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, Red Baron, back in the 80s and 90s, and they remain my favourite games.

I suppose I assumed after playing Call of Duty 4 and 5, that all online gaming was that good - always a game, games work the way intended etc.

I am now sorely disappointed in this game for online experience. REALLY disappointed.

That and the missing cockpit views - so far, Blenheim, Bf109...

So hopefully a patch will fix this stuff, because the game itself is pretty good.
