To all those who insulted me: you missed the point of the video.

and to all of those who are telling me to grow up, i wont. This is who i am, and honestly. i ahve no problem about it.

and im not about to break up in tears, tough i admit, that would have been nice.

and to those who tell me to "get a life", well, i have one. as you can see, i have a guitar in the back, i like to play the guitar. i liked to play il2 too. those were my 2 favorite hobbies. im sorry im so passionate by my hobbies. my third hobbie is university. my dream is to become a pilot ( still working on that)

after all this is not a message to you, but to luthier. i spammed it here in the hopes he actually would see it. it may not be very mature to "spam the internetz with my feeligns" but its far more mature giving my face in a forum than just spamming post over post with complaints and member attacking. i have done it and im sorry for it. hoped everyone here "fanboys and whiners" would actually stop doing that, and only said what they would if theyre face was in it, not an avatar.
Hi Pupo162,

Does this mean you will stay on the forums? I hope so because I thought your vid was OK, fair enough you have your opinion (I disagree, but so what) and you shared it in a reasonable way. I liked that you used a video, you are not afraid to put your face to your words.

What guitar style do you play? I love guitars better than videogames! I play acoustic steel old rock&roll for now, Eddie Cochran, Elvis and stuff. Hey, here is an idea, make a song with your opinions and make it funny then post another video! The developers appreciate music, remember the banjo kid?

Regards, Sam.

I'm sincerely troubled by the gesture of a young man who arrives to post a video message to shout to the world his frustration for a videogame that fails to meet his expectations.
I immagine everyone in this community is an aviation enthusiast, for some of us flight sims are (luckily for those) an extension of their working live (I personally know some pilot, aviation specialist, aviation historician who are modelers or flight simmer in their spare time); for others I suppose these hobbies are a surrogate of a working live that they wanted to live. I put myself in the last category, I'm a modeller and flight simmer since I was 8 old, I would have preferred to be in the first category.
What I would say is that, for what is my experience, in every community related to the single hobby (model planes static or dynamic, model railways, naval modelling or aviation artworks) I have witnessed how high the frustration among hobbyists can rise, mostly among adults. Crashed marriages, sons parked in front of Pc's to gain some hours to dedicate to beloved hobby, people in to debt to buy tons of plastic kits, adult coming to blow for contending a third place at a competition...I saw a lot of slaps fly around...
This video is too much for a videogame...is too much like those in which some madcap announce well other gestures and I stop here.
Pupo has to be respected, like us, primarly cause we are customers and 70€ for a product are not the same if spent by a young man or spent by senior professional, or related to a 2500-3000€ average salary in Germany or 400€ average salary in Serbia.
@Pupo, hey mate dont leave the community! Join some server waiting better times!
Cheers

And please bear in mind how many people upgraded their system as they believed in the fairy tales from the east. Who cares about € 50,00 for the game if the minimum requirement on the box is an ironic joke ? I spend additional € 300,00 for an EVGA GTX570.....

Anyway, I bought IL2 COD on March 31st 2011. I will uninstall and trash the game exactly one year later. God thanks I can't sell it or give it away even if I would find an idiot who would be willing to get it for free

I would of rather seen one of those funny "Downfall" spoofs made instead of this video to get your point across. Why hasn't someone made another one of these yet?

I bought an Asus G73S which cost £1600. The initial release I knew would be poorly optimised so I wasn't too bothered plus I could cost it to my business but still I did spend that much on a laptop so I could play CLOD. When the beta was released in July/August that re-wrote the sound etc I was impressed enough to then build a new PC. This cost well over £3000 including the GTX 580, i5, SSD and then I bought a HOTAS Warthog and TIR5 and pedals. For a few weeks I was reasonably happy until they released the official patch which did nothing but introduce the memory leak.

This is why I am annoyed and to hear comments like "we might not post any more updates because of negative comments" is enough for me to get annoyed.

Most people don't care about BOM...we want to hear about the fixes we will see which will give us a simulation of the Battle of Britain and all that was promised before the release.

Nice Pupo. Something different, a rant-video about our favourite hobby.
What can I say?
By being quite an optimist, I should actually say: Thank you 1C!
For you've finally broken the chains that kept me so glued to my PC station for so many years, and having let me free again!
I don't play IL2 '46 anymore since CLOD came out, as it looked so old all of a sudden.
I very very rarely played CLOD for obvious reasons, and now I honestly don't play it more than 2/3 hours a week.
RoF is simply great, but WW1 is not really something for me.
All the other simulations and games annoy me hugely and fastly...
And so, I must say that indeed life out there is beautiful, and I am discovering other interesting things and hobbies that I never thought I would be interested in.
I am starting actually to live a fuller and denser social life, and all this thanks to you!
In a way, you've done me a tremendous amount of favour.

And.. I am actually not joking too much to be honest.
Cheers
