There is really no reason to give up, except if one is really impatient or from the " instant gratification generation"!
This sim was in a really sad state when published!
But look, it is getting better and better!
When your at the bottom every way is up!!!
Just play something relaxing, like WoT, 'til this sim is fixed.
Me, i already have fun with it as it is now, except for this reallly annoying sound bug.

The big difference is, if you cant use your car it is a hindrance, if you cant use CloD it is only inconvenient.

You're right the game is not finnished. Unless you we're one of the Russians who bought it at release, you knew you were buying an unfinnished product.
You knew and bought it anyway. Now you have to be patient. I got the Russian version and knew it was porked. I'll get the US version when it gets released. I'm unhappy about a bunch of things, Steam, it being porked etc etc. There just is not anything else out there with the potential Il2 CoD has. Patience is a virtue. Best of all is I can keep pushing back buying a new computer untill the program is out of Beta. Heck it's summer! I bought a Nikon D7000 and I'm going to enjoy going outside. Come winter the virtual skies over Dover will still be there and in better shape than today.

I agree with your frustration, I have a very capable rig, but the state of release and the delay in the NA market make for a fiasco of a start for this title. I hope it survives as its potential is huge. I hope that just like RoF which also was a disaster and is now a gem after two years and being taken over by a new company, CoD gets its due in further cleaning up its problems and further development to include the major theaters of operation in WWII and even before and beyond those time frames. Our credit cards are ready for the expansions!
