TH2G is transparent to CoD.. to any game really

Even to windows to some extend

My '3' 1280x1024 show up as '1' 3840x1024 monitor to windows

Win7 seven detcts TH2G such that you don't even need to install the MATROX software.. But, at some point you will have to install the MATROX software to config the TH2G device.. but I did that once, a long time ago, and when I upgraded from XP to Win7 I didnt need to reinstall the MATROX software becuse the device config is held on the device

Long story short, as far as Win7 knows I have '1' 3840x1024 monitor

But despite that, in CoD you do not have peripheral vision like IL2FB because CoD does not support it unfortunately

I don't know what to say, other than I run CoD at 3840x1024

Note what Luither said in that post, i.e.

Oh yes it is. Nvidia surround gaming is active as well as ATI. There are vids on here of it in action.

On that note..

Can you tell me if you 'need' two video cards for that? As in each vid card only has two DVI outputs.. thus you need a 2nd card to use one of the DVI outputs for the 3rd monitor

I think some do it by using the HDMI output for a total of 3 using one card?

Anyway.. If you do need two vid cards.. The nice thing about TH2G is you only need one (good) vid card, because TH2G only needs one vid card DVI output to drive all three monitors

TH2G cost around $150 last time I check

Ace, does your setup show POV270 on left and POV90 on right or is the display stretched across? Could you/grathos post a photo of your screens with a cockpit view? I'm confused...

Im at work right now, Ill post a pic when I get home..

From memory, while sitting in the spit.. Look forward (12) I can see most of the wing.. but not all the way out to the wing tip like you could in IL-2

But IL-2 was a fudge funky widescreen view.. the wings appears to be swepped foward, and if you tilted yourhead the horizon and plane would bend at the cross over between monitors.. That does not happen in CoD.. In CoD you get a much wider view that looks totally normal

In the mean time.. here is a Crossfire example

What you see there is what I see using TH2G..

With regards to the peripheral view

Problem with that video, the guy who took it stood to close to his setup, such that you can not appreciate the FULL VIEW. To really appreciate it you need to see all three screens at the same time.. Than you can get a feel for how much your peripheral view is increased..

Note the few times that you can see most of all three.. When the gun site is centered.. Note the center monitor shows you what you see/saw with just one monitor.. At those times note how much of the wing you can see both left and right while looking forward. Basically with TH2G you get one whole extra monitors worth of view both left and right.. I tell ya.. it really improves you SA!!

For example, watch this video and pay att to the canopy knock-out on the LHS of the spitfire canopy.. When looking forward with 3 monitors you can see most of that knock out.. When looking forward with 1 monitor you can just see the forward edge of it

I used to use an Apple 30" monitor. Nothing can compare the the graphic details with this monitor. If you are are more interested in graphics then it is worth the money to buy one or atleast a used one. I presently have a Panasonic 50" 3D tv I use as my monitor. The large screen add a whole different dimension to gaming. However you do lose the graphic details with a 1080p monitor. I am very happy with both. The larger screen really adds realism and feel to the game.
