Slight improvement for me faster loading and fewer stutters averaging 70 - 80 fps oversea and 20 - 40 fps over land the worst being when first spawning in cockpit while everything is rendered drops to low teens then shoots back up after everything has finished loading.
Medium to High vid settings res 1440x900 Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Motherboard - GA-890GPA-UD3H Processor- AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 840 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz RAM - 4gb Video card - XFX ATI 5770 1GB another quick note is i can now actually fly over london before the patch i couldn't go near it due to extremely low FPS, FPS is still low (low teens) and would hate to have a dogfight there but it's a start Last edited by Fragal; 04-07-2011 at 07:33 PM. |

gtx 460 1gig of vram with latest beta from nvidia
win 7 32 4 gigs ram I didn't much bother with fps checking as those seemed to stay low anyway. Difference is that playing in windowed mode seemed to be a bit smoother despite a number of Launcher crashes. playing in full screen shows no real differences and the mission of intercepting dive bombers near Hawkinge is pretty much unplayable. Hi guys,
The new patch had some interesting results. Overall - 1. far less stuttering but still there every +-12 - 20sec - Plays a bit Smoother 2. Bullet splashes on water/ground no longer effect fps (before patch splashes would make fps 0-1) so good improvement there. 2. Smoke still crushes FPS to 3-4 fps for a few seconds 3. COD is now crashing/freezing forcing restart... Sometimes it crashes the whole PC - Very bad... It can't run even for an hour - mostly less till crash/freeze 4. Noticable difference between cockpit on and cockpit off +/- 4-5 fps in wonderview. 5. I loaded up Calais dog fight and Dover dogfight Quick missions, both couldn't do more than 1 fps - on 1280x960 (Med - low settings settings- no grass, Very low trees, low building, med land shading, Model high, effects med etc Its a step in the right direction - but still a ways to go yet. Thanks for the effort. BEFORE PATCH Trying to fly over channel 2v2 or 1v2 spit v 109 1680x1080 (native res) - Grass off - trees off- roads off- all ground details lowest. Model High, damage med effects: high average:8fps or so cockpit off: 9-10fps Major stutters and slow downs. Coudn't fly over land at all - average: 3-5fps in 1st training mission. AFTER NEWEST PATCH 1.03954 Far less stutter - almost playable over water average 10-11 fps with cockpit off - about 14-18fps Now can go over land but still not good 8-11 fps Lowered my res to 1280x960 and can actually fight over water. YAY! Still big stuttered but not so frequent. I also increased my setting a little bit. Over land between 6-19 fps up and down a lot (Freeflight) Tried calais and Dover dogfight missions - 1 fps for both in cockpit PC: Win XP SP3 - DX9 Mobo: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955BE - 3.2 GPU: Nvid 260 GTX - 896mb Ram: 3gb DDR2 667 (In Game only uses 1.6gb RAM - Also running the pc as well - it that important???) HD: 200gb - 7200rpm (Its quite full - maybe 15gb free space) Last edited by matsher; 04-09-2011 at 11:45 PM. |
