Universal healthcare is the only way to go dude. As I type this my wife is on her way to have a small surgical procedure. The thought of the cost didn't even cross our minds because there is no need for it to. It's a nice way to live. The US government controls the military. The military is in place to protect the citizens. Healthcare protects citizens. It's the same thing. Don't worry about the government taking more control. Control over what? If the US cut 10% of it's military expenditures I'm sure that would help greatly in providing basic aid for it's people. It's the only way to go in my opinion.
