So far, everything is good. We have one Bf-109 pilot (David) two Ju-87 pilots (FOZ & dald101), and House is the only He-111 pilot.

On the Republican side, we have you Matt flying the Po-2 Biplane, Lazyboy flying the I-153 Chaika, and me and P-51 flying the I-16s. But I can always switch it around later if more join. But I just needed to put people who didn't have a set plane in places that were still not taken by anyone else

I would like to get in on this as well, I haven't even played the game yet though since I have been working non-stop lately. What time zone and time of day will it be available for ps3? I'm in GMT -5 here. I don't care what side/ plane it is.

The list of planes is in the first post, so out of those planes, you may choose. I you only have one or two of them, it's fine with me. I just need to know which one(s).

You have to unlock it in Single Mission, during the Korsun Pocket. It's called "The Babysitter". It's a really terrible mission in my opinion, but Pedro gave me a tip, and it worked right away, which is to stick to the tail of the guy your protecting, shoot off the 109s that attack, and you'll be good. I think it's timed, so you won't have to wait long if you keep shooting 109s off his tail

Kinda wishing I had gone for the I-153 or I-16 now. Should have remembered the Bf109E3 didn't have a cockpit when I offered to fly it, but I can't really change sides now and leave the Condor Legion with no fighter cover

This would be much easier in Il2 1946. We could get all the right planes, and they would all have cockpits. We could even have the right camo's and markings on the planes, but I'm sure this will be a lot fun as it is.

I've had an idea for another plane though. The Republicans used Tupolev SB bombers, so maybe the Il4 or the Blenheim could be used as a substitute? Just an idea.

So to answer both of your questions at the same time, this game will not take place until we do get a German cockpit DLC and hopefully along with it a cockpit view for the I-153? And I'm also on Pacific time (LA Native) so it won't be until we get official word. I know it kinda sucks, but you can always practice with the planes listed before.

EDIT: Also, there are some friends that are willing to join this, and we've been playing around a bit. They all have PS3s and 360s as well, so if we have one console without enough players or something, they can help fill the gaps
