haha i can imagine, off topic but what part of ohio are you from? Im from south dayton. Near Wright Patterson airforce base

Just east of Zanesville. I'm headed to WPAFB at the end of this month actually. Dawn Patrol WW1 Fly-In.

Sept. 25th and 26th 9 am to 5 pm, and Sept. 27th 9 am to 1 pm. Located at the USAF Museum. Its a bi-annual, so if you miss this one, your next chance is in 2011.

This will be the third time i've gone though, it's always alot of fun. there's usually at least 5 or 6 full size reproduction aircraft, and a slew of 7/8 scale replicas. They all take off from the field behind the museum and circle around and do fly bys, they also have a flour bomb drop and balloon busting competitions.

You know, to a Russian it seems kind of weird to hear IL-2 pronounced like in I'll-2. In Russian it sounds like Eel-2. )

hmm odd ive always known it I L 2 but Eel-2 is that how u say it or is that the russian accent

Right, that's because the plane was designed by Ilyushin... correct? It can't be pronounced I'll-e-ooshun... it must be eel-e-ooshun. Like my phoenetics? LOL.

I think people pronounce it I'll due to the two letter abbreviation.

I think this is the most confusing post I've ever made, but it makes sense to me. Either way, the board will crash shortly due to an excessive amount of
