I almost prefer using the P-51 to the Spitfire in the demo.

Definitely needs to be flown in cockpit mode though (well if your in Sim mode you'll be there anyway) because it's third person reticle in Realistic mode is pretty frustrating for dogfighting. Well that's what I thought anyway.

I think the reticle is designed that way for ground attack missions... but I completely agree with you. If there is an air battle mission involving the P-51, I would imagine the reticle will change.

@PF: I thought I heard some sort of whistle on a steep dive, but that might have been me making personal sound effects again.

It's certainly more rewarding. The Spitfire is so maneuverable it's hard to go wrong. The P-51 can still handle well, you just have to have to be smooth with her.

lol The first time I out-turned a 190 (without spiraling into the forest) I literally punched the air!
Once you master the handling, the 190's start to drop like flies.

The P51 is using the cockpit from the P47 Thunderbolt.

Haha oh yeah, how did I not notice that? I've flown the both the Thunderbolt and the Mustang loads in Pacific Fighters.

I just loaded it up to check. It seems so obvious now. I guess I just concentrate on whats on the other side of the gun sight

The P-51 has a lot more square, 'modern' look doesn't it; a bit like the FW190 (Which I think looks like the interior of an 80's car!) lol Must have been awesome to fly back then.

Exactly. I actually really like the handling on the P-51. It's slightly more of a challenge, but for me it feels a lot better, and a lot more smooth.
