Yes , I realise the existence of that interview. It is however , an interview with a magazine website , so it is NO WAY an official announcement. Also , some items mentioned by Oleg have been commented on by Daedelus members in other places , and Daedelus said they are not going to be included in 4.09.
Hence the confusion........

Please read my post carefully. I asked for this information FROM 1C OR DAEDELUS , so my requests are not intended to be answered by the readers here. That is why I requested "official announcements " from 1C or Deadelus.

I'm assuming Daedelus has an official spokesperson that can speak on thier behalf , representing a single source of reliable and non-conflicting information.

I assumed that was the reason for this thread , to provide a mechanism for communications from Daedelus.

Those are the only two assumptions that I can reasonably make regarding 4.09 .

I'll wait for the official announcements before considering 4.09 or any of its content a legitimate product.

WWFlybert: 1C of course released a 4.09 beta. Consider now the implications of Olegs interview and that Daedelus 4.09 may contain considerable more or less than the 1C 4.09 release. This precludes the assumption that the Daedelus 4.09 is in the BETA stage. It would be common , proper and expected that once Daedelus began thier development , that the revision would revert to an ALPHA.

No cause for contention or assumptiveness here, I was only linking to the best available information for you.

You asked 4 questions of "Where" official announcements are.

Answer to all 4 .. they do not yet exist with specificity. It is obvious to me 4.09 official is a work in progress.

My logic comes to different "assumptions" however

I consider what Oleg and Martin say in the interview to be "official", and read carefully, there is no contradiction between the interview and what has been said elsewhere by Daidalos Team, only clarification of misreading of the interview. For instance, I misread that the recon triggers would be included in 4.09 release, however with careful reading, that is not what was said.

I have worked with software as well, if something is "beta" and it is being worked on to become "final" .. it is still "beta" .. I don't understand why you think Daidalos Team would be starting over again at "Alpha", nor why they would follow a naming convention of release that I have only seen Microsoft use. And even then, 4.09 is an update to existing, fully legitimate and finished product.

Regardless, it is an unexpected and happy surprize to IL-2 1946 customers that 4.09 will be finished, and other good features may be added to the game.

Daidalos Team is under no obligation to answer anyone's questions here or elsewhere, that they might do so, is a courtesy I thank them for.

No contention on my part here. My intention was to be concise. Do not mistake that for anything else please. It is a distraction to this thread. It is foremostly the reason why I requested info from the developers themselves.....to avoid any confusion or pettiness that can derail the conversation. Please honor that.

I assumed this thread was meant to provide a mechanism for communications from Daedelus. I still do . That mechanism does not have to be created by Daedelus to be that mechanism. In no way can they be construed to be mutually exclusive.

Again , my post was a request to 1C or Daedelus for official announcements , and not a request to general members of the forum for speculative or personal opinion on what, where or why. Additionally ,please do not confuse the word "request' for the word "demand"

I am happy to read folks posts , but in this case they are immaterial to my request. The responsibility for comprehension of my post , its form and the language used are only material to 1C and Daedelus.

Patches/updates have never been "officially" announced especially the full content of them so I see no reason for this to be any different for v409m.

In fact it was common practise for patches/updates to have FM DM and weapons adjustment without so much as a word what had been done to the aircraft affected, this would lead to a lot of heated discussions

There have been beta patches/updates released in the past for general testing but these were never the full content until 1c Team released the official patch.

But !!!

V4091bm is a strange beast in as much that it was never completed by 1cTeam and has been thankfully taken on by DT, it been a long time for this patch to go "official" so on this occasion the content has been known and flown, anything DT are adding is in the interview and possibly some "other" content as kept quiet by them ie: a few nice surprises maybe ?
