And there is a brake. When landing just pull the right stick back continuously. Notice how much faster the speed drops than if you aren't touching the stick.

Which realism setting are you playing on? I'm doing it in Sim, and have practiced a lot and it is still really hard, I can do it but maybe only 1/5 tries. Guess I need more practice. Was World War II really this difficult?
