Good morning all, just joined the forum today but have been following the board for a couple of weeks. Really excited for this game and I am a older ps3 user(30 something) that would love to fly with some guys without all the childish cursing and other bs that you get online these days. Also, in preparation for this game I've been looking for a flight stick for ps3. Any recommendations? I've been kinda eyeing the Thrustmaster Hotas but wanted to see what everybody else has or is planning to get.

Welcome! I bit the bullet and purchased the T Master Hotas X, but I have no idea how it works yet. Still waiting for the demo and then I'll be able to check it out. I can tell you, in terms of design and visual appeal, it seems to be the best stick available for PS3 at the moment.

Yeah, and X360 users envy you for it.

Nice pun! But at least I get my box fixed for free every time it breaks, so I can't really complain.

Let's see how the AV8R handles, if it's crap I'll buy a PS3 and the Thrustmaster stick only for IL-2

Yeah, I'm thinking the Hotas is the way to go. I'm just waiting for this demo to come so I can grab one and begin flying those unfriendly skies.
