I also noticed some sort of Rudder thing in the spitfire, but that was indeed the torque. When i put throttle to 0% it stopped.
And also found the breaks on gamepad, now just have to find it on my AV8R.

i hope you do manage to figure the flight stick out, because i can only imagine the frustration your going through to get it to work
