Hey irrelevant, they do the same thing in my hometown.

Hamilton, Ontario....the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. They've got a B-25J (i think...solid nose bristling w/guns) that's totally flyable with tours. Pretty sweet.

One of the biggest collections in NA, and our biggest, it features birds of a mostly Brit/Canuck connection. There was a big fire in one of the hangers in the 90s, destroyed a few planes including a beautiful early Spit.

But they've got 25 flyables including the jewel of the bunch: one of two surviving, and the only flyable Avro Lancaster. A true beauty. She flies over my house every summer - an unmistakable rumble, it knocks your mind out of the daily hum quite convincingly.

Oh and they've got a Hurricane IIb, just like in the game.

Looking at wiki once again, there are apparently 17 complete Lancasters in the world, of which the only the 2 mentioned by you guys are flyable, though there are plans to bring another 3 up to airworthy standards.

This makes me laugh; some of you are hilarious.
You scrutinize someone for saying that making this sim less historically accurate is silly, and then in another topic you will start saying 'I can't wait to try sim mode, oh how I am looking forward to sim mode'. It's plain ridiculous.
What the original poster was pointing out, and what I agree with, is that you can't make a realistic simulator by incorporating unrealistic features just to allow the arcade-style gamers to shoot down heinkills with one burst from a spitfire. And it is plain ridiculous to argue that it balances the game; that is so contrare. In the Battle of Britain the RAF were vastly outnumbered, but their planes weren't inferior, which is basically what anyone is implying when they say that the Spitfire IIb and Hurricane IIb are used purely to balance firepower. The fact is that if you want to fly a realistic simulator, you will be going through what the simulator is based on-so if you fly the BoB then you will be the mark 1 spitfires and hurricanes. Although they lack canons (well, apart from the 1B spitfire) if you get in close and aim in the right spots you can compensate for that.

But this is my opinion. I am really looking forward to this game, but I am outraged that someone be slandered for pointing out that this game is historically incorrect. I find the fact that this game has to be historically incorrect just to appeal to people moaning it takes too long to shoot down a heinkill a bit sad.
I also find it odd that people are comparing this to COD4. Last I look CoD4 wasn't a simulator...

for hineni

I would sincerely like to apologise for my inference that Avi Lieberman was a nazi worth bombing (as was Coca Cola South America(tm) and Chelsea Combat 18 )
After due consideration about a man who publically states " Minorities are the worlds biggest problem" I've come to realise that I wouldn't p!ss on him if he was on fire...he's definitely not a Nazi; instead he's yet another kind of extremist we could all do without.

Happy now Hineni?

Ecstatic.

Whatever stupid statements Avi Lieberman has made, I have yet to find one where he has advocated genocide or any sort of violence. I'm curious as to why Lieberman would be singled out when we both know that there are people in this world that are actually doing these things?

Considering that this is at least the second time that you have managed to use this forum to post deliberately offensive statements, it would really help if you exercise your due consideration before you open your mouth instead of after.

I'm sorry your feelings are so easily hurt Hineni...

Mine are hurt when I see women and children of all creeds and colours suffering and people like Avi fanning the flames. He ain't stupid, he's downright dangerous...
