Well, some of the henchmen do feel a bit heartbroken when she leaves them Especially the first one you can get, the pirate.

Maybe we'll get her a good husband in the next King's Bounty? Her achievements in this one will make her quite a catch

No husbands also means no random babies either. Instead the different races of henchman all give different bonuses and have different abilities. e.g. the elf gives you +4 intellect, can fully restore your mana (relaods after 5 fights) and creates special adventure map scrolls.
