Hm, four spitfires shooting at one....is it an IL-2.....either way, the guy in the bomber is screwed.

Yup. Just another example of historically ignorant marketing artists and the distribution company's lack of QA to have it corrected. Obviously they all looked at it and said "OooooOOoOooo....nice" without really looking at it. Once someone noticed it, it was decided to leave it as it is as most people playing the console games wouldn't really notice anyway.
