I thought I had my refresh rates under control in Vista until I tried Cryostasis

My "fix" was to boot XP. SM4 looked nice but it hurt my framerate a little, anyways.

That's myth. There is no known upper limit for when we stop seeing a difference when increasing framerate. Studies that talk about 24/30/35 FPS are looking at *minimum* framerates required for us to perceive "smooth" motion in certain circumstances. They say nothing about upper limits.

I would also like to know if there is a way to change the refresh rate in Cryostasis.

After some investigating I did find what looked to be a configuration file in the main Cryostasis folder named "config.cfg." But upon further investigation this file appears to be the default settings for Cryostasis as none of the settings in it were the same as what I had set them to in the in-game options.
Example: I changed my resolution in-game to 1280x960, but the file still said:
@v.sx = 800
@v.sy = 600

Does anyone know if there are any other configuration files that are for the video settings in Cryostasis, and what the command line for the refresh rate is named?

Are there any other folders for Cryostasis separate from the main instillation directory, such as in the Windows user profiles?

Any information to help me change my refresh rate for Cryostasis would be appreciated.
